GTS president Steve Schnepf founded the firm in recognition of the importance of trees in the urban environment. As an ISA Certified Arborist, he belongs to professional groups such as New York State Urban & Community Forestry Council and New York State Arborists. Steve's dedication to customer service has allowed him the pleasure of serving this region's tree care needs into a third decade.

Vice-president Gary Raffel has nearly 20 years experience in the tree care industry. His dual skills in forestry and biology supports our concentration on a systems-oriented, health-based approach to total tree care. Gary has gained skills from positions as groundsman, climber/foreman, chemical applicator, and head arborist at one of the state's premier private golf courses. He belongs to professional groups such as the Society of Municipal Arborists, and NY State Urban & Community Forestry Council.
